Saturday Journaling Prompt:

What am I in awe of? What do I still wonder about?

Watch on YouTube for MAXIMUM ENJOYMENT

From the Wisdom of Socrates!

According to the great Socrates, Wisdom begins with wonder.

We occupy the tiniest speck of space in this vast and immense universe of 300 trillion stars, and 200 million galaxies scattered across 15 billion light-years. The sheer magnitude and magnificence of where we are in this spectacular inter-passing of time can’t help but pique our curiosity and intrigue.

From the vast reaches of outer space to the microscopic particles sustaining life behind the scenes, there is wonderment in every beat, every breath, every pulse, and every pause, moment to moment as the universe unfolds in perfect orchestration.

So take this moment, for who knows if there will be another, to stop and smell the roses, to sit in profound appreciation, and to immerse your soul in the full awe-inspiring rapture of this never-ending mystery, called life.

Who can ignore the captivating beauty of the majestic mountains, the enchantment of the forest, the meandering of the untamed river, or the mysteries hidden in the stars?

But too often our busy, stress-filled and demanding lives keep us from absorbing the richness and abundance of nature. We become disconnected from ourselves and from each other and the very meaning of life loses its meaning.

Let’s look at these questions to reignite the power of awe and wonder in your life.

  1. When did I last just stop and absorb the beauty of something?
  2. What do I still wonder about in nature, the planet, and spirituality? (Make a list)
  3. What, when I think about it “blows my mind “at the sheer mystery and inexplicability of it?
  4. Thinking about yourself, what is totally amazing about me, my mind, my body?
  5. How would my life feel different if I paused to wonder more? (Make a list)

Ponder these questions over the week ahead. Journal around them to go deeper.

JOURNALING

Journaling is a sounding board, a safe space, and a soft place to land. Somewhere to share those things that matter, those things that are meaningful to you. Journaling provides a space to unload your heavy burden, relieve stress, and let off some steam.

With grace and gratitude
